Middle school students hurt in Manitowoc school bus accident

Some students of Monroe Elementary suffered injuries after the school bus transporting them struck a garbage truck in Manitowoc, a report of WBAY stated on March 21.

At about 8:00 a.m. on Monday, a bus of Brandt Buses containing six students hit a garbage truck of Blue Water Services on Clover Road. The collision reportedly took place after the bus driver pulled out in front of the truck. The injuries sustained by the students were considered minor and the exact number of injured persons was unclear. The school bus driver and the garbage truck driver were also injured in the incident. Both vehicles sustained substantial damages after the collision. The accident also caused power loss to thousands of residents in the area after an electrical post was damaged. Electricity was later restored after authorities finished their investigations.
