Reckless driver causes accident in Kenosha, injures three

Authorities in Kenosha believe that excessive speed was a factor in a recent two-vehicle accident that resulted in three people suffering injuries. Police suspected 19-year-old Alexander Pagan was driving his vehicle at a speed of 80 mph when he was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on the evening of November 24.

Pagan told officers he was traveling 60 mph and attempting to chase down a Volkswagen that had cut him off earlier. He was allegedly looking at the Volkswagen while attempting to pass it and failed to see the pickup truck driven by Daron Terfehn in the process of turning in front of his Mustang.

Terfehn was taken to a hospital in Wauwatosa for treatment of several serious injuries, including fractures to bones in his back, seat belt burns, and a possible concussion. Pagan and a passenger in his vehicle also sustained broken bones in the collision.

Officers also found drugs in Pagan’s vehicle after the wreck, and prosecutors will likely bring charges against him for reckless driving.
