Drunk driver arrested in New Berlin

New Berlin authorities recently apprehended an intoxicated male driver after he was pulled over for driving erratically at speeds of over 100 mph on northbound I-43 near Mukwonago.

The incident reportedly occurred at 3:53 p.m. of August 25. Reports said the vehicle was driven on northbound I-43 and was pursued by an officer after noticing erratic driving as the 27-year-old driver passed New Berlin. Other authorities later responded after the vehicle slowed to 55 mph, but did not stop for the first officer and continued to exhibit hazardous driving. It is suspected that this is the driver’s third offense driving while under the influence. There were no people hurt during the chase.
