Honda recalling thousands of vehicles with stalling problem

Carmaker Honda Motor Co. is recalling thousands of recent models of “Fit” vehicles to repair an engine problem that may lead to sudden stopping during operation, a September 4 report from USA Today stated.

According to the Japanese automaker giant, there were 17,800 units of 2015 “Fit” compact sedans that have a “plug-top ignition coil” in the engine that may degrade. If the engine part suddenly fails during operation, the affected vehicles are at risk of crashing. Honda was not aware of any injuries or accidents involving the affected vehicles prior to the recall. Owners of recalled “Fit” vehicles should expect Honda to contact them to have their vehicles fixed free of charge.
