Whitefish Bay pedestrian accident victim died of injuries

A woman hospitalized after a pedestrian accident in Whitefish Bay died of her injuries, Fox 6 reported.

Just after 4:00 p.m. on May 28, 26-year-old Kristen Caves was pronounced dead at Froedtert Hospital. Information coming from Whitefish Bay Police revealed that two days earlier, Caves was walking on a crosswalk when a stopped vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle. The collision forced the vehicle forwarded, and it struck Caves. The two vehicle drivers, neither of whom seemed impaired during the accident investigation, both cooperated with responding police and submitted to blood tests.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting local authorities in investigating the fatal crash. Certain aspects of the accident are still being determined, including which car exactly struck Caves. To assist the process, a reconstruction of the event was performed. After all of the relevant information has been unearthed, it will be decided whether charges will be filed.
