Child bicyclist injured by Elkhorn squad vehicle

A child recently suffered injuries after a squad vehicle with the Elkhorn Police Department struck the bicycle the child was riding, a May 12 article of Fox 6 reported.

Reports coming from authorities revealed that the incident occurred at 3:15 p.m. at the crossway of Amparo Street and E. 1st Street. The bicyclist, whose identity was withheld, reportedly sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Walworth Medical Center. The name of the officer involved in the bicycle accident was also withheld by authorities, and he was still on active duty when the event occurred. The Wisconsin State Patrol conducted an additional investigation due to the officer’s involvement in crash.
