Teen involved in deadly Bell Plaine wreck arrested

Shawano authorities recently arrested the teenager involved in a car accident last year that killed three people and injured one in Bell Plaine, Fox 11 reported on April 12.

Detective Chris Gamm of the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office told reporters that they arrested 18-year-old Ryan Swadner on Saturday, April 11. Swadner reportedly was driving a Ford Mustang October 21 when he lost control of his vehicle on Highway 22 and struck an SUV head-on. Swadner’s three teen passengers were all killed in the crash. Swadner and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to the hospital due to their injuries. Investigators said that Swadner was driving at a high rate of speed when the accident happened. Though no formal charges have been filed against Swadner yet, he is being held on $15,000 bond and is scheduled for a court hearing on April 13 for referred charges of homicide by vehicle and second degree reckless homicide.
