Comedian’s children awarded $10M from Wal-Mart

The two children of late comedian James McNair will benefit from the $10 million settlement with Wal-Mart after the fatal truck accident last year, a March 20 article of Reuters reported.

Reports said the comedian’s heirs Jamel, 26, and Danita, 19, will share the amount that was recently revealed in the papers submitted to Westchester County court. The comedian commonly known as “Jimmy Mack” was killed June 7 after the limousine he was riding in was struck by a Wal-Mart truck. McNair’s fellow passengers, including Tracy Morgan, sustained serious injuries from the incident. Authorities later revealed that truck driver Kevin Roper was driving at a high rate of speed and was awake for more than a day when the crash occurred.

Families who lose their loved ones in truck accidents are understandably devastated. However, if negligent parties are involved, you may be entitled to compensations designed to help you recover your losses and address your suffering. Find out how the Madison lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® may work for you today by calling (608) 255-6663.
