GM recalls thousands of Impalas that may catch fire

At least 1,177 Chevrolet Impalas are being recalled by its manufacturer due to fire risks caused by faulty brakes, Consumer Affairs on March 2 reported.

Reports said the brake pads in come 2014 Chevy Impalas may stick halfway, causing them to produce too much heat. The affected vehicles may catch fire if the braking problem persists. The recall explained that the problem is caused by a faulty “parking brake piston actuation arm.” GM dealers will reprogram the braking software in the vehicles for free to address the problem. Owners are advised to gather more information from GM on their website or customer service lines regarding recall number 15100.

People unfortunately suffer from great financial loss in accidents caused by faulty vehicles. However, if you are in such situation, financial assistance may be awarded to you to recover your loss.
