Elderly couple killed in Racine accident

Two elderly pedestrians were recently killed in Caledonia Village after they were both struck by a vehicle while crossing the street, a Chicago Tribune article reported on January 25.

Reports said the fatal pedestrians accident happened outside of St. Louis Catholic Church before 6:00 p.m. on January 24. Long time church members Oscar Lang and Vernetta Lang reportedly were crossing the street after attending Mass and were both struck by an SUV. The couple, who were both 83-years-old, were flung away and both killed at the site. Lieutenant Gary Larsen of the Caledonia Police said alcohol was not a factor in the accident, but they will continue to investigate the vehicle driver, who was only identified as a 32-year-old woman.

The wrongful death lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® extend their deepest thoughts to the family, friends and church family of the Lang couple who are suffering during this difficult time.
