Chrysler issue 2 recalls to over a half million vehicles

American vehicle manufacturer Chrysler issued two recalls to an estimated 566,000 Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) and pickup trucks, a article on stated October 29.

According to the first recall, there are more than 380,000 previous and new models of RAM pickup trucks that may have a fuel heater terminal which may overheat due to corrosion; this could result in a fire if fuel gets into the heater terminal. The second recall affects nearly 200,000 recent SUV models that may have stability control problems from an electrical issue in the circuit board. Chrysler dealers will upgrade the software of affected vehicles and/or replace terminals and fuel filter casings to address these malfunctions.
