Over 28,000 Saab convertibles recalled by General Motors

More than 28,000 previous models of Saab convertibles are being recalled by General Motors (GM) due to defective seat belt retractors.

According to the recall, some 28,789 convertibles are affected by faulty seat belt retractors on the driver’s side. Seat belts may possibly fail to work properly during accidents if the retractors suddenly break. Incidents of injuries or crashes involving the affected Saab vehicles have not yet been reported. Dealers will address the issue by installing new retractors in the affected vehicles for free.
