Driver apprehended in Wausau for OWI

On March 6, Wausau authorities arrested Chad Kessen, 40, for driving under the influence.

Kessen was arrested around 8 p.m. near Aspirus Wausau Hospital after authorities noticed that he crossed the center line of the road. Kessen admitted to having had a few beers. His blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit.

Aside from the initial OWI charges, Kessen is also faces misdemeanor charges for driving with an invalid license. His preliminary court date is scheduled for March 25.
