Radio announcer injured in two-vehicle accident

Wisconsin radio sports broadcaster, Steve True (best known for his radio show on WAUK-AM), was in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash.

According to the Journal Sentinel, the accident happened on Wednesday around 9 a.m. at the intersection of W. Fond du Lac and W. Hampton avenues.

Milwaukee police said True had a green light signal when his vehicle was struck by another car. True was rushed to Froedtert Hospital after sustaining a serious head injury from the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, who was suspected to be under the influence at the time of the accident, was arrested after his hospitalization.

True’s wife has reported that his condition is improving.
