Ohio man who admitted to accidentally killing a man pleads guilty to DUI

The man who admitted to accidentally killing a man in a car accident by uploading a short video to YouTube pleaded guilty on September 18 to aggravated vehicular homicide.

Powell resident Matthew Cordle is facing 2 to 8 ½ years of imprisonment after he also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol when he killed Vincent Canzani on June 22 on Interstate 670. Cordle’s lawyers said their client pleaded guilty to make good on his pledge and to take responsibility for the fatal crash.

Cordle uploaded a 3 ½ minute video on YouTube inn which he confessed to killing Canzani in a car accident due to drunk driving. He said he “made a mistake” when he drove drunk that night after having a good time with his friends.

Sadly, many people sustain injuries or even die every year due to car accidents caused by drunk drivers. If you or a loved one has been affected by such a reckless driver in Madison, talk with an attorney from Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® by calling (608) 255-6663.
