Pedestrian killed in two-vehicle crash

A 22 year-old man was killed early Saturday morning following a two-vehicle collision in Oswego. The two drivers have been charged by police with failure to slow down to avoid an accident.

One driver, 25, was also arrested on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a prohibited alcohol content of 0.08 or greater. He was released from the police station later that day on bond.

Friends of the victim say he had been with them at a nearby bar that night and was walking home when the accident occurred. According to the Beacon-News, the drivers and the deceased were all former students of Oswego High School.
