Wisconsin police chief arrested on suspicion of DUI

The Police Chief of Grayslake was arrested last week in Wisconsin after he was suspected of consuming an ample amount of alcohol before getting behind the wheel.

The arrest took place on Route 45 around 10:00 p.m., and involved a collision. The off-duty police officer had gone out to dinner with his wife, where he said he consumed three alcoholic beverages. Before returning to their home, he struck another car on the highway after he was seen swerving between the lanes.

Police arrived at the scene and charged the man with driving under the influence, and being armed while intoxicated. No one in either vehicle was injured in the collision.
