Wrong-way driver charged with reckless driving on I-43

A wrong-way driver on Interstate 43 has now been charged with second-degree reckless endangering.

According to officials, the incident began when a police officer saw the driver heading north in the southbound lanes for almost five miles. He almost collided head-on with a motorist who had to swerve in order to avoid the collision.

The motorist struck the median as a result of this. A county sheriff then spotted the man and ordered him out of his truck. The man did a field sobriety test and it was found that he had a blood alcohol content of 0.25. He was also charged with operating while intoxicated.
