Traffic deaths in St. Croix County decrease

The number of deaths that have occurred as a result of traffic accidents have decreased in 2010 in St. Croix County.

According to the sheriff’s department, there were six deaths on the county roads in 2010, compared to 12 in 2009.  This was the smallest number of deaths since 1979 when five people were killed in the county.

The sheriff’s department has said that the drop in fatalities is due to a combined number of things, one idea is the increased number of patrols on the road way. Highway safety grants have allowed the department to keep an extra eye out on the roadways in order to cut down on speeding, drunken and reckless drivers.

Careless drivers can easily cause accidents on the roadways. If you or a loved one has been injured in an accident with a reckless driver, contact the reckless driving accident lawyers Madison of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, by calling 800-242-2874 today.
