Wisconsin recently makes texting while driving illegal

The state of Wisconsin recently became the 25th state to make texting while driving illegal. The new law will come into effect on December 1and will be considered a primary defense, which means that a police officer can pull someone over if they see them texting and no other reason needs to be found.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, nearly 6,000 deaths in 2008 were related to cell phone distraction while driving, with texting leading the way.
