Man turns himself in after hit-and-run accident

A 36-year-old man has turned himself in after fleeing from the scene of a a two-car accident in Maine, Wisconsin on June 6.

The man was attempting to turn left from Highway U on to 28th Ave. when his car was hit by a pickup truck. The man then fled from the scene by foot, according to authorities. The passenger in his vehicle and the driver of the pickup truck were taken to the hospital. Their current conditions are unknown at this point.

The crash is still under investigation but the man who fled the scene has turned himself in and he was charged with failing to notify the police of a crash and causing injury in a hit-and-run crash.
