Mandatory auto insurance law goes into effect in Wisconsin

A new Wisconsin auto law went into effect this week. The law requires every licensed driver to prove they have auto liability coverage.

For motorists who break the law, they may receive a fine of $500. The law is meant to ensure that all drivers carry some form of auto insurance. Before the law was passed, Wisconsin was one of two states that did not require its drivers to be insured.

If you or someone you know has been injured in an accident with an uninsured driver, contact the Madison car accident attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, at 800-242-2874.
