Ten vehicles involved in Wisconsin car crash

Eight cars and two semi-trucks were involved in chain reaction truck accident that occurred Tuesday morning.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred in Germantown as a semitrailer crossed the center medianĀ  and collided with an oncoming vehicle. This collision caused another semi-truck and eight other vehicles to be involved.

Two vehicles were trapped underneath the semi-truck’s bed. One person inside of a trapped vehicle died as a result of the accident. Six other people were also injured. One person was seriously injured and the others suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was closed in both directions as emergency crews cleared the scene. There was a light rain at the time and police officials are investigating whether or not this caused the crash or not.

 

Illinois man killed in Wisconsin truck accident

A 66-year-old man from Illinois was killed after a truck accident on Highway 41.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred as the man was traveling north on Interstate 41 when the vehicle went off the side of the road and crashed into a fence off of the highway.

Officials with the WSP found the driver of the truck inside the vehicle and he was unresponsive. He was the sole occupant in the car. It has not yet been determined if the cause of death was from the accident or a medical condition.

Man killed in semi-truck accident on I-94

A Hudson man was killed after a semi-truck accident occurred on Interstate 94.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. when a 43-year-old man stepped away from the front of a vehicle and into a lane of oncoming traffic.

He was then struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on I-94. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency crews. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the accident.

Overturned truck closes Milwaukee highway

An overturned truck on I-43/94 caused lanes to be closed for almost four hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

The accident occurred last week around noon when the semi-truck crashed on the northbound lanes causing the truck to lose control and flip over onto its side. The northbound and southbound lanes were reopened after the crews removed the truck. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Highway maintenance truck involved in accident

A Highway maintainer truck was plowing snow on the roadway in Pierce County when it was involved in a one-vehicle accident.

The accident occurred as the man was plowing snow on State Highway 63 and the truck struck multiple bridge beams when trying to remove snow from the bridge deck.

After striking the beams, the truck continued on until it hit the guardrail at the bottom of the bridge. When emergency crew arrived to the scene, they removed the play from the truck and it was able to drive away from the scene. One lane of the roadway was closed while the plow was removed.

Semi-truck driver killed as rig falls from bridge

A semi-truck driver from Wisconsin Dells was killed in an truck accident possibly due to the snowy weather.

The truck was heading west on Interstate 90-94 during a snow storm when the accident occurred. According to the State Patrol, the rig hit the median, damaging the structure of the bridge before falling into the icy Mirror Lake below.

The driver and the passenger were pulled from the cab of the truck by emergency crews. The westbound lanes of the bridge were closed all night while safety inspections on both sides of the bridge were done.

Three injured in truck accident in Monroe County

Three people were injured and one building damaged, after a car and truck accident near Monroe County.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 21 and Funnel Road when a 23-year-old driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a truck that was heading east.

The truck then collided with a building causing structural damage and mildly injuring a person inside. Three other people that were in the accident were also injured and taken to the hospital.

Semi-truck rollover accident causes part of highway to shut down

Multiple lanes of Highway 29 were shut down after a semi-truck rollover accident last week.

The crash occurred at 2:46 a.m. when the semi-truck, that was carrying 36 head of cattle, rolled over after the driver somehow lost control of the vehicle. One lane in each direction of the highway was closed.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the eastbound lanes remained closed until almost 10 a.m. The local veterinary clinic was called to scene in order to assist with the loose cattle.

Driver faces no charges in fatal accident

Officials have announced that they will not be pressing criminal charges against the driver who lost his homemade trailer while traveling down the road causing a collision that killed a 19-year-old UWGB student.

The 59-year-old man used chains to attach a flatbed trailer and was driving down Memorial Road when the trailer separated from his truck and crossed the center line and struck the 19-year-old’s vehicle.

The female student was killed from injuries sustained in the accident. The man later pleaded not guilty to charges of towing with improper safety chains.Police said that they have found no criminal conduct from the man.

Five-vehicle crash in Madison

There was a five-vehicle crash in Madison, Wisc. on Interstate 94, according to state patrol.

According to authorities, a truck was stopped in a construction zone because it was having engine problems. There were two cars right behind the truck that were waiting for the traffic to clear before continuing driving.

A fourth vehicle was unable to stop when the driver noticed the other stopped vehicles. The fourth vehicle rear-ended the car in front of it causing a chain-reaction accident. No serious injuries were reported in the accident.
