Wisconsin woman killed in motorcycle crash

A Wisconsin woman was killed in a motorcycle crash that occurred in Illinois on Saturday night.

According to authorities, the accident occurred as a 52-year-old Wisconsin man was traveling on his motorcycle on Ridge Road when he slid into a ditch after losing control of the vehicle.

The 52-year-old female passenger was then ejected from the vehicle. She was then transported to the hospital to be treated, but she was later pronounced dead after suffering severe head and chest injuries. Police officials have not commented on the cause of the crash because it is still under investigation at this time.

Motorcycle crash in Green Bay injures one

A crash involving a car and motorcycle sent one man to the hospital.

According to authorities, the accident occurred on Highway 57 in Brown County around 9 p.m. The driver of the car was not injured in the accident, but she was arrested and taken into custody for suspicion of drunk driving.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries as a result of the crash. Police officials are still investigating to determine exactly what happened.

One killed, two injured after motorcycle accident

One person was killed and another was injured after a motorcycle accident occurred in Western Wisconsin.

The accident occurred as the 51-year-old man and a 13-year-old passenger were driving on the motorcycle and they collided with a deer.  After the collision, the motorcycle skidded and partially ejected both the man and passenger.

They were transported to the hospital and the 51-year-old man was pronounced dead the next day. The victim was identified to be from Woodville.

Motorcycle collision takes life of one, injures another

A motorcycle accident at the intersection of State Highway 16 and 60 claimed the life of a father and injured his daughter after their motorcycle collided with a truck.

According to officials, the accident occurred as the 54-year-old father was driving the motorcycle with his 24-year-old daughter as the passenger. The truck was traveling westbound on State Highway 16 when it collided with the motorcycle while it was attempting a left turn across the lanes of traffic.

The father was pronounced dead on the scene and his 24-year-old daughter was transported to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the scene at this time.

West Band man killed in motorcycle accident

A man from West Bend was killed after a motorcycle accident occurred last week.

According to police, the accident occurred when the man’s motorcycle struck a truck at the intersection of highway A and B.

The 57-year-old man was taken by helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison where he was later pronounced dead due to injuries sustained. The crash remains under investigation at this time, but it is known that the man did not have a helmet on at the time of the crash.

Former Wisconsin Senator hurt in motorcycle accident

A former Senator in Wisconsin, David Zien, has been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 10 near Tallahassee, Florida.

The man was also an inductee into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000. He was in Florida for Daytona Bike Week and was returning home when the accident occurred.

According to local officials, the man struck an SUV when it attempted to change lanes on the highway and  lost control causing the vehicle to flipped over. After the accident, he was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Medical Center to be treated for a pelvis injury and to have a leg amputated.

Police investigate motorcycle accident that injured married couple

A man and his wife suffered non-life threatening injuries after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Lincoln County last week.

According to Sheriff’s department, the accident occurred as a 24-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle on Highway O. When emergency crews arrived at the scene the man had to be flown to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and his 24-year-old wife was also brought to the hospital.

They have both been treated and released and police are continuing to investigate the accident to see if speed or alcohol were factors.

Motorcycle crash on Highway 29 kills one man

A motorcycle accident in Lake Hallie, Wisc. on Highway 29 left one man dead.

When emergency and fire crews arrived to the scene the driver, the solo occupant, of the motorcycle was found laying on the side of the road. Life saving efforts were performed but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

After an investigation from authorities, it is thought that the man on the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve in the road causing him to leave the roadway. The 21-year-old victim sustained fatal injuries to his head.

The risk of riding without a helmet

Riders every year suffer severe head injuries because they ride without a helmet. As numerous studies have shown, riding with a helmet significantly decreases the chance of head injuries in motorcycle accidents.
