Deputies arrest Sun Prairie man for sixth OWI charge

A Sun Prairie man has now been arrested and charged with his sixth OWI offense after an incident that occurred over the weekend.
The incident began when a deputy saw the man stop at a “stop ahead” sign instead of a stop sign. He then continued to head south on Wisconsin 26 and when he reached the intersection, he attempted to turn left where you could only make a right turn.
Law enforcement then pulled him over and conducted a field sobriety test. He was then taken to Dodge County Detention Center where it was found that his blood alcohol content was a .199. A person that has five previous drunk driving offenses, is legally not allowed to drive with over a blood alcohol content of .02.
