DOT: Wisconsin fatal accidents over 16% higher in 2015

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) recently revealed that road fatalities in Wisconsin in September have increased by over sixteen percent compared to the statistics from September of last year.

Reports said that from January to September of this year, there were already 424 individuals killed in traffic-related accidents. DOT data showed that there were 63 fatalities reported last month alone. Bureau of Transportation Safety Director David Pabst stated that bicyclists and pedestrians comprised an alarming number of fatalities from this year. Pabst advised that vehicle drivers should be alert while on the road and always look for bicyclists and pedestrians in an effort to avoid fatal accidents.

Far too many families have to deal with the emotional, physical, and financial difficulties of losing a loved one in road accidents every year.
