NHTSA introduces safecar.gov for people to check for recalled vehicles

The NHTSA recently introduced www.safecar.gov for people to easily identify if their vehicles were part of a recall that was not addressed, CBS DFW reported on August 20.

Carol Lachnit of Edmunds.com explained that before the website was introduced, vehicle owners experienced difficulties in finding out if their vehicles were covered by a recall.

The free website powered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will also include information about new vehicle recalls. On the website, people will be prompted to put the identification number of their vehicle (VIN) to get information on their vehicle.

The Madison lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. believe that individuals who have been injured by defective vehicles should be fairly compensated to recover their losses. If this has happened to you, our lawyers may be able to help you to pursue compensation from negligent parties. Speak with us today by calling 800-242-2874 to find out how we may help you.
