Pedestrian accident takes life of one man

A pedestrian accident in Ironwood has resulted in the death of a 77-year-old man.

According to Wisconsin law enforcement, the accident occurred as the man crossed McLeod Ave. at South Suffolk St. and was struck by a car just after 1:40 p.m.

The man was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital, but he was later pronounced dead. Police are investigating the accident at this time and driver stopped at the scene and is helping police in anyway that he can.

Two injured in Sparta buggy accident

Two people were injured in a car and buggy accident that occurred in Sparta, Wisconsin.

According to police officials, the accident occurred Sunday evening when a 61-year-old driver attempted to pass two Amish buggies on the roadway. While do so, the second one turned in front of the man’s car and the two vehicles collided.

The buggy then flipped over in the roadway and caused the two people inside to suffer from non-life threatening injuries. They were both taken to the hospital in order to be treated.

Man seriously injured in Wisconsin head-on crash

A 23-year-old man survived a weekend car crash in Wisconsin, but is currently in critical condition. A 39-year-old man was killed as a result of the crash.

According to authorities, the crash occurred just after 10:30 p.m. when  then the 39-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The 23-year-old man was the passenger in the car that was struck and he was transported to a hospital in Madison to be treated for serious injuries. The crash is still under investigation at this time.

Two injured in Dodge County rollover crash

Two people were injured in a rollover accident that occurred on Wisconsin 67.

According to police officials in Dodge County, the accident occurred as a 22-year-old man lost control of his car and struck a ditch on the side of the road. The car then went airborne after striking a culvert and  landed on its roof as a result.

A 17-year-old passenger was removed from the car by emergency crews and flown to a hospital in Milwaukee in order to be treated. The current condition of the victim is not known at this time and the investigation into the crash is still underway.
