Man killed in Racine County crash

One man was killed in a Racine County crash that occurred between a car and a semi-truck on Highway 20.

According to police, the accident occurred when the 35-year-old man was traveling northbound on the highway when it struck the back of a semitrailer.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the man was pronounced dead due to multiple traumatic injuries. The 51-year-old driver of the semi-truck was injured in the accident. Further details on the accident remain under investigation at this time.

Sheboygan man arrested for OWI after crash

A 54-year-old man from Sheboygan has been arrested for suspicion of drunk driving after a car accident occurred on Saturday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the accident occurred on Moenning Road just after 1:30 p.m. when he rear-ended a car at a stop sign.

The driver of the car that was struck was transported to the hospital in order to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Wisconsin State Patrol arrested that 54-year-old man for an OWI, his fifth time to be arrested for this offense.

Grand Marsh man injured in motorcycle accident

A man from Grand Marsh was injured after a motorcycle accident occurred over the weekend.

According to officials, the accident occurred as the man was test driving a motorcycle accident on Kelly Road when he ran off the side of the road, went airborne and struck an embankment.

He was transported to Theda Clark Medical Center in order to be treated for what were considered life-threatening injuries.

Ten vehicles involved in Wisconsin car crash

Eight cars and two semi-trucks were involved in chain reaction truck accident that occurred Tuesday morning.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred in Germantown as a semitrailer crossed the center medianĀ  and collided with an oncoming vehicle. This collision caused another semi-truck and eight other vehicles to be involved.

Two vehicles were trapped underneath the semi-truck’s bed. One person inside of a trapped vehicle died as a result of the accident. Six other people were also injured. One person was seriously injured and the others suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was closed in both directions as emergency crews cleared the scene. There was a light rain at the time and police officials are investigating whether or not this caused the crash or not.

 

Pedestrian struck in Racine car accident

A 75-year-old woman was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident while crossing a street in Racine.

The Racine woman was crossing the street at an intersection and police have said that the light was red at the time. A 51-year-old Racine man was the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the woman was transported to Wheaton San Franciscan- All Saints Hospitals where she was later pronounced dead. The accident is still being investigated at this time and no citations have been given.
